I ordered a hide from leatherhidestore.com the grain looked really nice once I saw it in person. It wasn’t too flat or fake-looking, just had that natural leather look I was hoping for.
The texture is firm, but not so stiff that it’s hard to work with. I did notice a couple of small marks, but with real leather that’s kind of part of the deal, so...

I’m giving it 4 stars because the color was slightly different than what I had pictured in my head, though overall I’m happy with the feel and quality.
